I am running for Marina City Council and will be coordinating my campaign for the November election with Mayor Bruce Delgado, who is running for re-election. City Councilman Ken Gray has announced that he will not run for re-election and it is important that Mayor Delgado and Councilman Frank O’Connell have a third progressive vote for sustainable economic and environmental policy. I am very proud to have the endorsements of Bruce and Frank, as well as the endorsement of Monterey County Supervisor Jane Parker.

Now, we can move forward together on the issues that matter to our community.

My vision is of a strong and vital Marina built on a foundation of economic and environmental sustainability with the building blocks of sound and balanced governance.  My voice and my vote is for inclusive decision making that  reflects our community’s values and respects our community’s diversity of politics, faith and culture. I am committed to     responsive City government with public scrutiny at all     levels, the hallmark of democracy, where citizens' input is      respected and welcomed.

My Priorities include the following:

  • Encouraging a local economy that creates a diversity of jobs, in partnership with smart and sustainable growth
  • Revitalizing our Downtown in ways that support our businesses and is welcoming to the public
  • Ensuring open and responsive City government with public scrutiny at all levels, the hallmark of democracy, and that our citizen’s input is welcomed and respected
  • Balancing our City’s budget in this period of economic challenge while maintaining critical City Services
